Ready to share your industry experience and shape the next generation of skilled technicians? Johnson College is currently seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Industrial Mechanics and Electrical Instructor to join our Workforce Advancement & Value-Added Education team. This is a part-time position with varying hours based on program needs, primarily evenings and possible weekend hours. Help to prepare students for careers in advanced manufacturing, maintenance, and industrial operations. The ideal candidate will bring real-world industry experience and a passion for teaching industrial mechanics and electrical systems in a lab-based learning environment. This role focuses on mechanical power transmission systems, including belts, rollers, bearings, and alignment, as well as industrial electrical systems such as motor controls, PLC troubleshooting, and electrical schematic interpretation.

Required qualifications may vary by discipline taught, but generally include a minimum of three years of full-time industry expertise and/or work experience and appropriate education/training credentials pertinent to the course subject matter area. Formal teaching certification is not required. Teaching experience with adult students is preferred. A teaching demonstration may be required.
