As our projects continue to grow in scale and complexity, we are seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Project Assistant to support our project management team.

Role Overview

The Senior Project Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of electrical construction projects. This position provides advanced administrative, coordination, and documentation support to Project Managers and site teams, helping projects stay on schedule, within budget, and compliant with company and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to Project Managers
  • Assist with project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout packages
  • Coordinate with field supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Track project schedules, material deliveries, and outstanding action items
  • Maintain accurate project records, logs, and filing systems
  • Support budgeting and cost tracking, including purchase orders and invoices
  • Coordinating travel and housing arrangements for field staff and their project managers
  • Assist in tracking change orders, RFI's, and submittals
  • Secure permits and licensing per project
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and contract requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a project assistant, project coordinator, or similar role (construction industry required; electrical preferred)
  • Strong understanding of construction project workflows and documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with project management or construction software is an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, proactive, and team-oriented attitude
