Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION Select Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:20 AM-1:50 PM in the Fall and 8:30 AM-11:00 AM in the Spring and occasional Saturdays 9 AM-5 PM. Detailed schedules are supplied at the beginning of each semester.

Desirable Qualifications
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Prior teaching and/or crew leadership experience within the area of theatrical and event lighting. Strong working knowledge and experience with ETC lighting consoles, lighting networking, and various intelligent lighting fixtures. Knowledge of show control protocols and system integration. Working experience in working with DMX peripherals, practical wiring, general electrical codes utilized within the entertainment industry, and maintaining industry excepted best practices. Experience driving and supervising the safe operation of Ariel Work Plateforms ( AWP ) / Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). Understanding of CTE program objectives with a robust background in theatrical electrician work at a theme park or entertainment venue. Experience collaborating with faculty, staff, and/or community leaders in programs and initiatives that are specifically designed to assist historically underrepresented students achieve their educational goals.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in any discipline AND two years of professional experience OR Associate degree in any discipline AND six years of professional experience OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area. OR The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
