Electrical Engineer

Looking for a seasoned Electrical Engineer with 7–12 years of consulting engineering experience to join our client's dynamic, multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to design innovative solutions, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to impactful projects in diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support electrical engineering efforts across industrial, higher education, healthcare, and commercial projects.
• Develop electrical and lighting plans, specifications, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and firm-wide growth.
• Participate in business development and marketing initiatives as needed.
• Conduct occasional site visits to ensure project quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Texas PE license preferred.
• Strong expertise in electrical and lighting system design for varied building types.
• Experience with medium-voltage distribution, generation, and protection systems (preferred).
• Proficiency in SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software.
• Familiarity with electrical/energy codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, etc.).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and related design tools (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within collaborative teams.
• Demonstrated leadership in project coordination across multiple disciplines.
• Knowledge of local codes, standards, and construction practices (preferred).
• Willingness to work onsite at least 4 days per week.
