SUMMARY

The Maintenance Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining all end of line test (EOLT) equipment throughout the facility as well as troubleshooting and analyzing tester issues as they arise. The Electrical Maintenance Technician is also responsible for repairing fixtures associated with the test process and other assembly related fixtures. This position will work hand in hand with the Manufacturing Engineers to help implement new products and improve existing processes. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Confers with various manufacturing department establishing an effective working relationship, thus eliminating potential problems through lack of communication.

·         Function as a team member by assisting fellow workers in completing job assignments.

·         Perform reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility equipment

·         Procure purchase parts when necessary.

·         Helps maintain building and facility.

·         Oversee grounds related projects including lighting, pond, lawn and snow removal.

·         Operates all power equipment and hand tools.

·         Utilize Excel to analyze tester data

·         Recommends and performs preventative maintenance on equipment

·         Analyze repair methods for effectiveness and recommends improvements for higher quality.

·         Disassembles equipment and analyzes cause for failure; recommends preventative maintenance.

·         Confers with various manufacturing department establishing an effective working relationship, thus eliminating potential problems through lack of communication.

·         Function as a team member by assisting fellow workers in completing job assignments.

·         Actively solves problems, and plans (labor and equipment).

·         Utilized computers to create reports for various departments throughout the organization.

  • Responsible for conforming to environmental management system requirements

 

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental practices in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Must exhibit excellent troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to apply NEC standards
  • PLC programing experience.
  • Must have advanced electrical skills/knowledge (i.e. tester wiring)
  • Ability and knowledge of working with 480V 3 phase.
  • Advanced computer skills to operate testing equipment and enter information into database(s).
  • Must have strong mechanical abilities, able to fine best method to use and complete all job assignments.
  • Ability to utilize all hand and power tools
  •  Ability to operate larger equipment. Including lathe, mill, light construction equipment and welding/fabrication.
  • Ability to reason, solve practical problems with a variety of variables with limited standardization, and interpret instructions.
  • Ability to read blueprint schematics 
  • Strong mathematic abilities 
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions. Write identifying information and request supplies verbally or written.
  • Good organizational and documentation abilities 


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school Diploma or GED; at least 5-7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

 

PREFERRED

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with all building trades, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and fabrication. 
  • Strong electrical abilities, able to find best method to use and complete all job assignments.
  • Operates fabrication equipment for fixture repair and construction (mill, lathe, ETC)
  • Knowledge of LEAN principles including 5S, preventative maintenance and corrective actions related to maintenance.

The budgeted range for this role is $25 USD - $35 USD per hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the desired level of experience for the position.
