Chevy Chase Club is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our Facilities team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficient operation of electrical systems across our beautiful, historic campus-including buildings, kitchens, athletic facilities, and outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, outlets, lighting, control panels, motors, and equipment throughout Club facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues involving motors, HVAC electrical components, VFDs, relays, and low-voltage circuits.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Support daily operations, special events, and seasonal facility needs.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC, NFPA 70E, and internal Club safety standards.
  • Respond to emergency electrical requests and collaborate with Facilities leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts inventory.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License required.
  • Minimum 3 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in facilities, hospitality, or large-campus environments.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety procedures, and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a maintenance team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and ladder use.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor conditions year-round.
